Chocolate Chip Cookies
Let me just tell you that I've made this chocolate chip recipe tons of times before. In my opinion, this is the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. I've tested other recipes too, and they're very good, but not as good as this one! I made this cookie today for my two brothers. They love chocolate chip cookies! Then I sat by the window, got myself a cup of milk, and enjoyed my cookies while watching the rainy scene outside.
These chocolate chip cookies look delicious, don't they? Here they are close-up!
They are chewy, soft, rich, and very comforting especially on a gloomy rainy day. And these are fairly easy to make. Almost easy as oatmeal cookies.
Oh, and have I ever mentioned this before? I don't have a stand mixer, OR a hand mixer. I just have a electronic whisk (with one beater) that is quite weak. Not that I'm complaining! I'm really thankful that I am even allowed to bake so much. So anyways, I usually use a wooden spoon. And believe me, it works just as fine! I've started using wooden spoons for almost everything when I got the thought, "How did they bake pies, cakes, and breads in the past without a food proccessor or a hand mixer?" They must have used simple things, and it must work just fine!
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
-300g all-purpose flour
-175g room-temp! butter
-150g light brown sugar
-1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate drops
-2 tsp vanilla sugar
-2 room-temp. eggs
-1/2 tsp baking soda
-4 pinches of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. Line two baking pans with parchment paper.
3. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
4. In a large bowl cream the butter until creamy. Add the vanilla sugar and mix.
5. Add the brown sugar in three additions, mixing between each. (I just used a wooden spoon)
6. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Mix well between each addition. You should be scraping the sides of your bowl constantly.
7. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and cut it in to form a dough. When the dough begins to form, switch to gently kneading with your hands.
8. Add the chocolate chips and incorporate in into the dough with a wooden spoon.
9. Scoop the dough out into small balls, and place them on the lined pans. Make sure there's space between them!
10. Flatten them SLIGHTLY.
11. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown.
